    Abstract: The invention relates to a new implant material of ceramic material for use in dentistry and medicine for replacing hard tissue, such as dental elements and bones. In order that the material may have sufficient strength characteristics, in particular tensile and bending strength, there is provided a compression element with which the ceramic material, preferably sintered hydroxylapatite, can be brought under compression.
