Patents Assigned to Delta Plastics, Inc.
  • Patent number: 6913157
Abstract: A closure and container combination has in which anti-backoff capability the closure includes a top wall and a depending annular skirt having closure threading formed on an inner surface of the skirt. The closure threads mate with threads on the container. One or more anti-backoff members are formed on the inner surface of the skirt and/or the outer surface of the container neck and arranged and configured to frictionally engage the mating threading between the anti-backoff member and the threading to resist movement of the closure once secured onto the neck of the container.

  • Patent number: 6763960
Abstract: A closure and container combination provide a child resistant package. The closure has a top wall and a skirt depending downwardly from a peripheral edge of the top wall. The container has a bottom, a cylindrical sidewall extending upwardly from the bottom and an open top. An annular flange projects outwardly from the outer surface of the cylindrical sidewall of the container proximate the top of the container. This annular flange has a flexible tab and is positioned below the skirt when the closure and container are mated together. To remove the closure from the container, the flexible tab is pushed upwardly against the skirt thereby lifting the closure off of the container. The flexible tab prevents undesired access through the annular flange and provides leverage to aid removal of the closure. In addition, a child is inhibited by the inflexible flange from using his or her teeth or fingernail to pry open the closure from the container.

  • Patent number: 6726042
Abstract: A closure for a container has a cap portion with screw threads to engage screw threads on the container and a tamper evident band connected to the cap by frangible bridge elements. The tamper evident band includes segments that engage a retaining flange on the container to separate the band when the closure is first removed from the container. Expansion segments on the band permit the closure to be initially installed on the container without breaking the frangible elements.
