    Abstract: Device for automatic stacking of packages on a support in a predetermined spatial arrangement for formation of a stack, having at least one supply conveyor which provides the separated packages (W) in a predetermined succession, a lifting and lowering unit for lifting and lowering a support disposed in a stacking site in the Y direction and a displacement device which adjoin an output end of the supply conveyor and which receive packages (W) from the supply conveyor (2) and transport them to the predetermined position in the stack (S). The displacement device includes a positioning conveyor adjoining the output end of the supply conveyor and being disposed horizontally and longitudinally with respect to one side of the stacking site in order to position the packages (W) in the X direction, and at least one pushing plate and a pusher (14) in order to transport the packages (W) from the positioning conveyor in the Z direction to the predetermined position in the stack (S).

    Abstract: A transfer shuttle for transferring a load between a pair of multi-tier racks in an automatic warehouse has a traveling platform traveling between the multi-tier racks, extension and retraction mechanisms arranged at the front and rear of the traveling platform with a load mounting area of the platform sandwiched between the mechanisms, and end fingers arranged at opposite ends of a rail which, among the rails in the extension and retraction mechanism, has the largest movement range and is movable between a protruded position engageable with the load and a standby position. The rail also has an inner finger provided between the end fingers. With such an arrangement, the inner finger can push a load on the load mounting area of the transfer shuttle to convey the load to a position deeper in the multi-tier rack than positions achievable by conventional products.

    Abstract: A grabber for automatically grabbing and placing packing units of different dimensions and configurations includes a frame with a support, a hold-down device and a stripper attached to the frame. The support supports a bottom portion of a respective packing unit, and is generally horizontally movable with respect to the frame. The hold-down device is downwardly movable toward the support to clamp the respective packing unit between the support and the hold-down device. The stripper is disposed above the support and is generally horizontally movable. The respective packing unit is substantially immobilized by the hold-down device and the stripper as the support is retracted.
