  • Patent number: 11846267
Abstract: Described herein is a device for upending a tubular element with a longitudinal direction at an outer end. The device has a cross-shaped support structure of mutually coupled beams. The support structure is pivotable round a lifting member connected thereto for connection to a lifting means such as a crane. Clamping members slidable along the beams from a clear position to a clamping position can provide for coupling to a wall part of the outer end of the tubular element in the clamping position. In the clamping position the beams extend substantially transversely of the longitudinal direction of the tubular element. Also described herein is a method which makes use of the device.

  • Patent number: 11828265
Abstract: A coupling tool for connection to an outer end of a tubular element for the purpose of upending the element has an engaging mechanism with which the outer end of the element can be engaged, and a pivotable lifting member with which the coupling tool can be suspended from a lifting device such as a crane. Resilient arms are further mounted on the coupling tool, which arms can be moved from a starting position to a position against a wall part of the outer end of the element for the purpose of aligning the suspended coupling tool relative to the outer end, and for damping movements of the suspended coupling tool. Also described herein is a device which utilizes the coupling tool, and a method which makes use of the device.

  • Patent number: 11492772
Abstract: Described is a device for providing a sizeable, slender object having a longitudinal direction into an underwater bottom from a deck of a vessel. The device includes a lifting means configured to take up the object at a lifting point thereof and position it on the underwater bottom; an upending tool connected to an edge of the vessel and configured to engage a first circumferential part of the object suspended from the lifting means and provide a pivot around which the object can be upended; and a gripping tool connected to an edge of the vessel and configured to engage a second circumferential part of the object suspended from the lifting means, whereby the first and second circumferential parts are optionally spaced apart in the longitudinal direction of the object. The gripping tool includes an actuator system configured to act on at least one of the upending tool and the gripping tool and control movements of at least one of the first and the second circumferential parts, relative to the vessel.

  • Patent number: 11473330
Abstract: Described herein is a device for upending a tubular element with a longitudinal direction from a support surface at an outer end. The device has a support beam which runs substantially parallel to the support surface and is connected to the support surface at a support point. The support beam guides a coupling tool to which a wall part of an outer end of the tubular element can be coupled. The coupling tool is displaceable relative to the support surface with the support beam, from a clear position to a coupled position in which the tubular element outer end is engaged by the coupling tool. Also described herein, in addition to the device, is a method which makes use of the device.

  • Patent number: 11168666
Abstract: A jack-up platform is described having a horizontal working deck that may be jacked up out of the water by moving its legs to a position wherein they take support on an underwater bottom. The jack-up platform further includes a higher level deck and a lower level deck that define a receiving space for a barge, optionally suitable for carrying parts for construction of a wind turbine, and further a deballasting system configured to bring the floating hull between a receiving position at which the hull is ballasted to a receiving draft in which the lower level deck is submerged underwater and the barge may be received in the receiving space through an opening in the hull, and an operational smaller draft where substantially no water can flow on either of the lower and higher level decks. The receiving space has a centralizing system configured to substantially centralize the received floating barge in the receiving space.

  • Patent number: 11052973
Abstract: A floatable structure is described having a hull and a deck. The floatable structure further includes a mooring system for mooring a second floating structure at a mooring position relative to the floatable structure. The mooring system brings the second floating structure down in the water from an initial floating draft to a larger mooring draft to reduce motions of the second floating structure relative to the floatable structure. A method for mooring a second floating structure using the mooring system is also described.

  • Patent number: 10920443
Abstract: Described is an auxiliary device for realizing a bolt connection between connecting flanges, placed against each other, of a first and a second structure. The auxiliary device includes a support body provided with a number of receiving positions for a bolt. The receiving positions are aligned with corresponding bolt holes in the connecting flanges to be placed against each other. The auxiliary device further includes a moving mechanism with which the support body can be moved toward the connecting flanges which are arranged against each other so that a number of bolts arranged in the receiving positions are arranged substantially simultaneously through the bolt holes. Also described is a corresponding method.
