Abstract: A method for forming a desired textile printing pattern by allowing a fiber sheet to absorb a dye ink by the use of, for example, the ink-jet system, which comprises allowing a pre-treating fluid containing an aqueous emulsion having a solid component comprising an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and a vinyl acetate-acrylic monomer copolymer and a fixing agent for the dye to soak into the fiber sheet, followed by drying, and then subjecting the resulting fiber sheet to a textile printing with the dye ink.
