    Abstract: An attachment for a shovel which aids the user in lifting a fully loaded shovel blade without incurring back strain. The attachment is pivotally mounted to the main shovel shaft near the blade and has a cambered portion remote from the shaft. A foot pedal at the distal end of the cambered portion enables the user to apply his body weight so as to rock the attachment along the cambered portion and lift the loaded shovel blade.
