Patents Assigned to Denny Bros. Printing Limited
  • Patent number: 5846623
Abstract: A carrier web 10 has a plurality of leaflets 12 on its upper surface. Overlying each of the leaflets 12 is a web 21 which has a printable upper surface and adhesive on its rear surface for adhering to the leaflets 12. The web 21 includes strips 23 which extend beyond opposing edges of each leaflet 12 and which adhere directly to the carrier web 10. The transverse width of the strips 23 is less than the transverse width of the portion of the web 21 which overlies the leaflet 12. Shoulders 29 are thus provided in the web 21 at the junction of the strips 23 to the rest of the web 21. The shoulders 29 facilitate access to the leaflet beneath. Also as the upper surface of the web 21 is printable, users of the assemblies may apply their own information to the upper surface of the web such as bar code information or the price of the article to which the label/leaflet is applied.

  • Patent number: 5490692
Abstract: A leaflet/label includes a carrier sheet having adhesive on its rear face protected by a release sheet, and a leaflet attached to the front face of the carrier sheet. The leaflet has a first sheet folded about a fold line extending transversely of the sheet to provide a cover panel and a rear panel, and a second sheet folded about a fold line extending transversely of the sheet. The folded second sheet is enclosed between the cover and rear panels of the first sheet and with the fold line of the second sheet adjacent the fold lime of the first sheet. The two folded sheets are secured together face to face along one edge remote from the fold lines.

  • Patent number: 5449538
Abstract: A label/leaflet assembly includes a support web with a release coating on which is placed an adhesive label with a leaflet secured on its front face. The leaflet has a front cover one end of which extends beyond the underlying panels of the leaflets. This end of the leaflet has a first part which is permanently joined to the main body of the front cover and which is releasably and re-sealably adherent to the label, and a second part which is permanently secured by an adhesive to the label and is connected to the first part and/or the main body of the front cover along one or more tear lines. Until opened the leaflet is held firmly sealed by the second part. When opened the leaflet is re-sealable, but the torn tear lines show that the leaflet has been opened. The assembly is thus tamper-evident.

  • Patent number: 4930812
Abstract: An adhesive label or leaflet assembly comprises a flexible carrier strip 10 with a series of labels or leaflets spaced along its length and each secured thereto by an adhesive strip 21. The face of the carrier strip 10 on which the labels or leaflets are disposed is coated with a release material, and the adhesive strip adheres to the front sheet 14 of the label or leaflet and has bands 23 extending lengthwise of the carrier strip beyond the ends of each label or leaflet and adhering to the release material. Each label or leaflet comprises a back sheet 15, a front sheet 14 and one or more further sheets 17, 19 all connected together along fold lines 16, 18, 20, the further sheets being disposed between the front and back sheets. The labels or leaflets in the resulting assembly can readily be dispensed on to a succession of containers by automatic machinery, the bands 23 then serving to secure the labels or leaflets to the containers.

  • Patent number: 4847130
Abstract: The present invention is drawn to a tag attachment system from which tags are suppliable to necked articles and the method associated with the tag attachment system for supplying tags to necked articles. A carrier strip of material has pressure-sensitive adhesive disposed on a surface thereof. A plurality of tags are releasably secured to the strip at the surface of the strip and the tags are spaced apart along the length of the strip. Each of the tags has a surface on which a layer of coating release material is disposed and an aperture in which the necks of necked articles are receivable. The surface of the tags on which the coating release material is disposed confronts the surface of the carrier strip on which the adhesive is disposed so as to facilitate the releasable securement of the tags to the strip. The strip is passed around a guide disposed adjacent a path along which a plurality of necked articles are traveling.
