  • Patent number: 7081063
Abstract: An internal planetary gear mechanism reduces a load applied to tooth surfaces of an external gear and an internal gear, a sliding portion such as a bearing and the like. By setting the amount of eccentricity ? of an eccentric part to be larger than a theoretical value, a distance between the center of the external gear and the center of the internal gear is increased to allow the reduction of a loss in the bearing and on the tooth surfaces of the gears, and a mesh zone between the internal gear and the external gear can be reduced to decrease a part at a large pressure angle, thereby reducing a loss generated by a large pressure angle. As a result of reduction in the mesh zone between the external gear and the internal gear, rolling contact of the gears is maintained.

  • Patent number: 6513416
Abstract: A hydraulic-pressure counter-force mechanism 37 which produces a counter force when a brake booster is operated is made up of an input-side member 38 slidable disposed within a valve body 3, a second constant-pressure chamber 39 formed on the rear side of the input-side member and into which a pressure is introduced from a constant pressure chamber A, and a second constant-pressure chamber 39 formed on the front side of the input-side member and into which a pressure is introduced from a variable pressure chamber B. The counter force from the hydraulic-pressure counter-force mechanism 37 is reduced by an orifice passage 43 as counter-force reducing means in rapid operation for brake.

  • Patent number: 6349203
Abstract: An information center sends an OK message for a log-in and version information for a menu to a moving body terminal device. The moving body terminal device compares the version number of the menu held therein and the informed version number. If they are different, the device asks for menu update. In response to the request, the information center supplies difference data indicative of the difference between the menus of different versions to the moving body terminal device. Using the difference data, the moving body terminal device updates the menu held therein. With this arrangement, the menu used in the moving body terminal device can be effectively updated.

  • Patent number: 6278943
Abstract: A vehicle navigation system performs regular travel guidance with respect to a guidance target intersection at a specific distance short of the intersection. When a distance between first and second guidance target intersections is shorter than the specific distance, regular travel guidance with respect to the second guidance target intersection is not performed. In this case, the vehicle navigation system performs supplementary travel guidance with respect to the second guidance target intersection immediately after passing through the first guidance target intersection. Accordingly, travel guidance can always be performed with respect to an immediate guidance target intersection.

  • Patent number: 6276809
Abstract: A meter that has a dial plate, a pointer, a light transmitting plate disposed at a rear side of the dial plate and a light source. The light transmitting plate has a shaft hole into which a shaft of the pointer is inserted, and a convex portion formed into a substantially conical shape protruding toward a rear side of the light transmitting plate in the vicinity of the shaft hole. The light source is disposed at a rear side of the light transmitting plate to face the convex portion. Light emitted by the light source enters the light transmitting plate from the convex portion at a relatively large incidence angle and illuminates the dial plate from the rear side of the dial plate.

  • Patent number: 6244049
Abstract: A counter-force mechanism (37), which produces a counter force when a brake booster is operated, is made up of an input-side member (38) slidably disposed within a valve body (3), a second constant-pressure chamber (39) formed on the rear side of the input-side member and into which a pressure is introduced from a constant pressure chamber (A), and a second constant-pressure chamber (39) formed on the front side of the input-side member and into which a pressure is introduced from a variable pressure chamber (B). The counter force from the counter-force mechanism (37) is reduced by an orifice passage (43) as a counter-force reducing means in rapid operation of the brake.

  • Patent number: 6063321
Abstract: An insert is held in a cavity within a die set by a movable hold member. Molten resin is injected into the cavity when the insert is held by the hold member. The hold member is separated from the insert at a given timing. A surface of the hold member is heated to a temperature higher than a temperature of an inner surface of the die set. The hold-member surface contacts the molten resin. The die-set inner surface is exposed in the cavity.

  • Patent number: 6019085
Abstract: A throttle valve control device in an internal-combustion engine having an electronically-controlled throttle valve is provided for calculating a final target opening based on an engine operation state, which includes an accelerator depression amount, and an ISC request opening for adjusting a revolutional speed of the engine to a target revolutional speed during an idling operation, and for electronically controlling the throttle valve so as to adjust the throttle valve opening to the final target opening. The device of the present invention includes a correction section for correcting the ISC request opening based on an amount of variation in the revolutional speed of the engine when the final target opening is identical to the ISC request opening, while prohibiting the correction of the ISC request opening when the final target opening is not identical to the ISC request opening.
