    Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for communicating data and transmitting information between roadside infrastructure units regarding vehicle data. In some embodiments, the roadside infrastructure units have one or more communication nodes equipped with a wireless transceiver configured to communicate wirelessly with a vehicle such as a dedicated short-range communication (DSRC) or cellular system. Each communication node can also wirelessly communicate with one or more of the other remaining communication nodes in, for example, a mesh network. One of the communication nodes can establish a connection with the vehicle via DSRC, obtain vehicle-specific data, and transmit at least a portion of this vehicle-specific data to one or more other communication nodes in other roadside infrastructure units. The roadside units can change operation state (e.g., illuminate) in response to receive the vehicle-specific data indicating the vehicle approaching that roadside unit.

The method includes, in response to identifying that the request is for an increase to the electrical power delivery, determining an electrical loading of the vehicle. The method also includes communicating a message over the communication channel to the peripheral device that causes the peripheral device to manage the electrical power delivery according to whether the electrical loading satisfies a loading threshold of the vehicle.

Energizing the purge valve at a first current actuates a first armature from a closed position to an open position to open a first opening and allow fuel vapors to flow through the first outlet conduit to the engine, without actuating the second armature from a closed position. Energizing the purge valve at a second current that is greater than the first current actuates a second armature from a closed position to an open position to open the second opening and allow fuel vapors to flow through the second outlet conduit to the engine while maintaining the first armature in the fully open position.
