    Abstract: An electromagnetic device for controlling the needles of a Jacquard machine is provided. The electromagnetic device selectively actuates the needles of a Jacquard machine using solenoids. The solenoids control selector members and place them either in a deployed position or a withdrawn position. When the device is moved with respect to the needles of a Jacquard machine, those selector members that are in the deployed position engage pushers to move the associated needles.
