  • Patent number: 6767850
Abstract: A flat textile material (10) has an upper side and an underside and is used, in particular, as a clothing fabric. For the purpose of controlling the permeability of the textile material (10), control elements (34, 36; 16, 18) are provided which are deformable by an environmental parameter. Media whose permeation is controlled thus are, for example, fluids or light. Possible environmental parameters are, for example, the temperature or the air humidity. It is thus possible to make, for example, textile materials whose breathing activity increases with the body temperature of the user.

  • Patent number: 6709673
Abstract: A microcapsule system is used to store active agents and release them as a function of specific environmental parameters. The active agents are contained in capsules having a capsule wall comprising an environment-induced material. To allow sequential, time-controlled release of the active agents, provision is made for a plurality of capsules to be accommodated in at least one outer capsule, thereby forming an inner encapsulation layer, wherein the outer capsules form an outer encapsulation layer. Like the capsule wall of the inner capsules, the capsule wall of the outer capsule is made of an environment-induced material.

  • Patent number: 6686013
Abstract: A folding greeting card is proposed which has a micro-capsule layer, the micro-capsules of which contain a perfume and can be destroyed mechanically. The micro-capsule layer is firmly joined to one half of the greeting card via a binder layer and is joined to the other half of the card by a self-adhesive layer when the greeting card is closed. When the card is opened the micro-capsules are destroyed and the perfume they contain is released.
