Abstract: A bone plate includes locking holes that reconfigured to threadedly mate with locking screws to fix the bone plate to an underlying bone. Some of the locking holes are standard-type locking holes. Alternatively or additionally, some of the locking holes are variable-angle locking holes. The bone plate defines a collection cavity in the locking holes that are configured to collect shavings that can be produced if the bone screw is cross threaded in the locking hole.

A device or assembly can include the venturi pump, a flow regulator, and a sealable entrance sized to receive the catheter. The device or assembly can have an exit and a passageway between the entrance and the exit to allow a pull wire, Intermediate Catheter, or other clot retrieval system elongated member to pass therethrough and be manipulated during the intravascular treatment.

Abstract: A device for treating an aneurysm with a braided implant can include a delivery tube having a spiral groove on an outer surface of the delivery tube and a braided implant having a spiral segment. The spiral segment can engage the spiral groove as the braided implant is delivered to an aneurysm treatment site. At the treatment site, the braided implant can be implanted, and the delivery tube can be rotated to disengage the spiral segment from the spiral groove. Once released, the spiral segment can reshape to occlude the neck of the aneurysm.

Abstract: An embolic implantation system configured to deliver an embolic implant intravascularly to a treatment site includes an elongated delivery tube to which the embolic implant is detachably attached by a flexible loop extending through a retaining ring or opening on the embolic implant and an elongated detachment member or pull wire extending through the delivery tube and flexible loop. The pull wire has a bump near its distal end that inhibits the pull wire from moving further distally when the bump presses distally against the flexible loop and/or retaining ring. The flexible loop and retaining ring thereby serve as a distal obstruction obstructing distal movement of the bump and thereby distal movement of the pull wire into the implant.
Abstract: A dilation introducer for orthopedic surgery is provided for minimally invasive access for insertion of an intervertebral implant. The dilation introducer may be used to provide an access position through Kambin's triangle from a posterolateral approach. A first dilator tube with a first longitudinal axis is provided. An access cannula may be introduced over the first dilator tube. A drill may be inserted through the access cannula and used to perform a foraminoplasty. Surgical instruments may pass through the access cannula to operate on an intervertebral disc and/or insert an intervertebral implant.
