    Abstract: The present invention is directed to a substantially cylindrical hand piece for removing surface portions of skin by superficial abrasion caused by striking the skin with a mixture of air and a granular abrasive substance. Specifically, the invention pertains to a hand piece having a multi-port vacuum restrictor to create a vacuum vortex providing enhanced distribution of abrasive crystals. The present invention also includes an apparatus for use in a dermal abrasion system employing the novel hand piece.
