Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for extracting a plant, such as a weed, from the ground. The device has at least two opposed prongs, each prong tapering operatively downwardly. The tapered prongs are shaped and configured with respect to one another to in use pierce the ground and grip a plug of earth in which the plant is located between the tapered prongs. The device also has handle for moving the tapered prongs relative to the ground.
