Abstract: Garments that can be worn during early stages of pregnancy and postpartum are disclosed. The garments shape or contour the stomach or abdomen regions of the wearer to give the abdomen a smoother and slimmer appearance. The garments comprise at least one shaper stitch region that is adapted to apply a compressive force to the wearer's abdomen to shape the stomach or abdomen regions of the wearer.

Abstract: Garments, including nursing garments configured as pull-over bras and camisoles, are disclosed. Nursing garments include a frontal portion configured to provide under-breast support connected to a first breast pocket and a second breast pocket, which are each configured to cover the breasts and may provide additional breast support. At least one of the first and second breast pockets is configured to cover at least one of the wearer's breasts when the breast pocket is in a first position, and to uncover and expose at least one of the wearer's breasts when in a second position. The frontal portion, the first breast pocket and the second breast pocket are also connected to a back portion, which provides back support for the wearer whether one or both of the first or second breast pockets are in the first position or in the second position.

Abstract: A nursing garment and method manufacture thereof includes, detachable portions of nursing clips to connect a built-in bra to shoulder straps, wherein the built-in bra is detachable from either one of the shoulder straps in preparation for nursing and is without openings for nursing. In further embodiments: the shoulder straps include sling supports behind the built-in bra; a garment bottom portion either unlined or lined with a stretchable lining; a knitted bottom portion joined at a junction with a knitted outer bodice and its knitted inner panel; and another embodiment includes, first clasps and second clasps of hermaphroditic mating construction, wherein the second clasps on the shoulder straps connect with either of the first clasps on the outer bodice, or alternatively, connect with each other.

The inner bodice has breast-feeding openings located for nursing and infant while wearing the inner bodice. The outer bodice provides breast cups. The outer bodice provides a bra-like support. The inner bodice is stretchable and provides a bra-like support.

Abstract: A fold-down convertible nursing bra with front and back reconfigurable straps is described. The cups of the bra are secured with a clip at the top of the shoulder strap that can be unclipped with one hand and folded down to nurse, then clipped back into the original position. A strip of fabric inside the cup remains attached to both the cup and the shoulder strap while the cup is folded down so that the bra remains secure and the clip can be easily accessed in order to reattach the cup. The bra also has back reconfigurable shoulder straps attached with a clip that can be removed and reattached in different positions such that the bra may be worn, for example, in a halter or racerback configuration.

Abstract: A wire-free nursing camisole with detachable front straps is described. The nursing camisole allows the top of the camisole to be folded down in order to facilitate nursing. The lower half of the camisole encircling the tummy and lower back region is lined with a second layer of fabric capable of creating a smoothing effect of the tummy area, making it appear firmer and tighter. The camisole provides for fashionability, body shaping, and contouring, in a single garment.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for fitting a person with a maternity garment includes one or more prosthetic devices. Each prosthetic device simulates a belly enlarged by a corresponding stage of pregnancy, to be worn by a person while wearing the maternity garment to simulate the fit and appearance of the maternity garment being worn by a pregnant person.
