Abstract: A removable pad to be placed on the thigh support or ischeal ring of a leg splint such as a Thomas splint or other similar type of splint. The pad is formed of a soft absorbent material sized to completely cover the entire thigh support ring thereby eliminating patient contact therewith, and sized to fit a variety of sizes of thigh support rings. In addition, the pad is readily removable from the ring with minimal disturbance of the traction set-up and may be disposable in order to adequately ensure sanitary conditions.
