    Abstract: An optical fiber connector includes moveable sleeve means allowing female contact members to be accessed for cleaning. The moveable sleeve is permanently retained attached to the connector body. Its movement between two positions is controlled by an alignment rod on which in a second position the sleeve is rotatable to allow access to the optical contacts.
