    Abstract: Television receivers are increasingly making use of digital signal processing. Present-day television receivers use a line-coupled clock system in this case, since this produces an orthogonal pixel array for signal processing on the picture screen. The disadvantage of such a clock grid resides in its problematical generation, in particular when video recorders are used as signal source. According to the invention, video signals are digitized and processed by means of a free-wheeling system clock made from a quartz oscillator. In order not to have to use large buffer memories, the vertical deflection is synchronized with the input signal, but the number of lines per field or frame is varied.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a television receiver, in particular a projection television receiver having red, green and blue monochromatic picture tubes, the images of which are projected onto a picture screen. Each picture tube is assigned a correction device comprising a convergence circuit. The convergence circuit is assigned a memory in which correction values for the convergence correction of the three picture tubes are stored. In accordance with the correction values, the convergence circuit generates control signals, which are output to at least one correction coil where each correction coil has one driver circuit. A correction current is applied to the associated correction coil to correct image defects visible on each picture tube.

    Abstract: The circuit arrangement comprises at least two movable elements (1 to 3) which are to be monitored and which are assigned a sensor (4 to 6) in each case. The output signals of the sensors (4 to 6) are fed to an evaluation circuit (7) via a common connection. The evaluation circuit (7) has only a single input for receiving the signals of the sensors (4 to 6). Each sensor (4 to 6) emits a pulse shape characterizing the connected element. The pulse shapes of the pulses generated by the sensors are configured in such a way that the evaluation circuit can uniquely identify the individual pulses, even in the case of superimposition.

    Abstract: A video recorder capstan drive motor is controlled for slow-motion, freeze-frame and similar operations by setting a rate of acceleration or braking. A speed parameter is measured during an initial acceleration phase and is compared to a predetermined desired value. Based on the result of such comparison, current to the drive motor is limited, or an existing current limitation value is increased or reduced, so as to alter the acceleration or braking and bring the tape speed more nearly to the predetermined value. A representative current value can be stored in nonvolatile storage and used for such current limitation control, for so long as conditions remain unchanged. The value can be changed when conditions change, for example due to loading of a different tape cassette or a change in operational temperature.

    Abstract: A coil arrangement for a control circuit which controls the motion of a housing includes coils arranged as a printed circuit on a flexible foil. The coils serve as the control elements for the control circuit. The foil is H-shaped and the coils are arranged on the verticals of H. The portions of the verticals in contact with the cross-bar of the H-shaped foil support connecting-conductors which connect the coils on the individual verticals. An aperture, soldering terminals and connecting conductors are arranged on the cross-bar of the H. The cross-bar is affixed to the top or bottom of a block-shaped housing and the verticals of the H are folded against the sides of the housing.
