Abstract: In a process and apparatus for determining the state of a body, a number n of measured values {right arrow over (x)}i of a state of the body with i=1, . . . , n are measured and recorded, the measured values {right arrow over (x)}i representing points in the k-dimensional space. The measured values {right arrow over (x)}i of the state are then fed to a Kalman filter for estimating the state of the body. For each number n of measured values {right arrow over (x)}i of a state of the body, a first quantity {right arrow over (m)}n and a second quantity rn are derived, and are fed to the Kalman filter, the quantity {right arrow over (m)}n being the center vector, and the quantity rn being the radius of a k-dimensional sphere Bn within which all points {right arrow over (x)}i are situated.
Abstract: The present invention provides an airframe structure of an aircraft or spacecraft, with: a hollow body section which can be subjected to an internal pressure; a membrane arrangement which has at least one single-part, multi-curved membrane component for sealing off the internal pressure from an external pressure which acts on the hollow body section and differs from the internal pressure; and a joining structure for a pressuretight joining of the membrane arrangement to a region of the hollow body section; wherein the membrane arrangement forms a receiving well which is accessible from outside the hollow body section, extends at least partially into the hollow body -section and is for receiving a component of the aircraft or spacecraft.
Abstract: A method for damping vibrations in a tail boom of a rotary-wing aircraft includes the steps of detecting tail boom vibrations induced by external vibration excitation, and generating and introducing strains into the tail boom based on the detected tail boom vibrations. The strains are applied over a surface area and are out-of-phase with respect to the detected tail boom vibrations so as to damp the externally excited induced tail boom vibrations. In addition, a rotary-wing aircraft, includes a fuselage, a cockpit area integrated into the fuselage, a tail boom arranged on the fuselage and a tail boom vibration-damping device.

Abstract: A twistshifter mounted about a handlebar. The twist-shifter includes a housing element which may be fixed to the handlebar and an actuating element which may be rotated about the axis of the handlebar tube a predetermined angle. The actuating element may be fixed axially to the housing element by a locking device having interlocking first and second latching elements. The first latching element is arranged on the housing element. The second latching element that is complementary in shape to the first latching element is arranged on the actuating element.
Abstract: Flexible aircraft air-conditioning system for a flexible aircraft cabin The invention relates to a method and a device for air-conditioning an aircraft cabin, which comprises a first zone and a second zone of variable length and at least one intermediate zone. The at least one intermediate zone may be associated with the lo first zone or the second zone. Air at a first set temperature is supplied to the first zone (6a) via a first supply line (10a). Air at a second set temperature is supplied to the second zone (6b) via a second supply line (10b). In at least one intermediate zone (6c) air is supplied via an intermediate zone supply line (10c) associated therewith. If the at least one intermediate zone (6c) is associated with the first zone is (6a), the set temperature of the air supplied to the intermediate zone (6c) corresponds substantially to the set temperature of the air supplied to the first zone (6a).
Abstract: A phase-locked loop circuit comprises a phase frequency detector, a charge pump associated with a loop capacitance, and a voltage controlled oscillator. The phase frequency detector receives a reference clock signal on a first input and a feedback signal from the voltage controlled oscillator on a second input. The charge pump receives control inputs from outputs of the phase frequency detector. Pulse duration detecting circuitry limits charge and discharge current pulses supplied to the loop capacitance by the charge pump to durations less than predetermined permissible durations.
Abstract: In a process for depositing large dry textile fiber webs on a component shape, a rolled up textile fiber web is deposited fully automatically, by means of robots. A robot-carrier cloth gripper grips the end of the textile fiber web to be deposited, and places it on the component shape. The web is then unwound from the roll by a robot-carried cloth unwinding stand, and is deposited on the component shape. During the depositing, the textile fiber web is draped by means of robot-carried heated sliding metal sheets or robot-carried movably disposed heated rollers. The depositing operation is continuously monitored and automatically readjusted to maintain a constant depositing rate. Alignment of the textile fiber web relative to the component shape is also monitored continuously by optical devices, and is readjusted as required.
