Patent number: 12288455Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for identifying wildfire in satellite imagery. In some implementations, a server obtains a satellite image of a geographic region and a date corresponding to when the satellite image was generated. The server determines a number of pixels in the satellite image that are indicated as on fire. The server obtains satellite imagery of the geographic region from before the date. The server generates a statistical distribution from the satellite imagery. The server determines a likelihood that the satellite image illustrates fire based on a comparison of the determined number of pixels in the satellite image that are indicated as on fire to the generated statistical distribution. The server can compare the determined likelihood to a threshold. In response to comparing the determined likelihood to the threshold, the server provides an indication that the satellite image illustrates fire.Type: GrantFiled: February 27, 2024Date of Patent: April 29, 2025Assignee: X Development LLCInventors: Eliot Julien Cowan, Avery Noam Cowan, Akshina Gupta

Publication number: 20250094876Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods for training and deploying a predictive model for generating a prediction, e.g., patient eligibility for a CAR-T therapy. Datasets, such as open healthcare claims datasets, may be missing data. Missing data may hamper the ability to generate sufficient information needed for training a predictive model. Methods include leveraging comprehensive datasets, such as closed claims datasets, to create training examples for input into a machine learning algorithm. In various embodiments, the comprehensive dataset is modified to simulate the data missingness in the target dataset; then, the modified dataset is paired with the ground truth label derived from the comprehensive dataset to create training examples. In various embodiments, a comprehensive dataset is paired with a target dataset to create training examples. After training a predictive model on such examples, the model can be deployed to make predictions in the target dataset even in light of missing data.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 4, 2024Publication date: March 20, 2025Applicant: Janssen Research & Development, LLCInventors: Jennifer Seto Harper, Rajarshi Roychowdhury, Smita Mitra, Jeffrey John Headd

Patent number: 12252219Abstract: An anchor system with a bridle substrate and harness configured to attach to an anchor line. An outer bladder surrounds an inner bladder for coupling on top of the bridle substrate. Water enters the anchor system through a water inlet that feeds directly to the inner bladder and fills that first. Water then overflows from the inner bladder to the outer bladder to fill that second. The inner bladder provides stability and is positioned with a majority of its volume closer to an uphill end of the anchor bladder while the outer bladder is positioned with a majority of its volume closer to a downhill end of the anchor bladder. Reinforcement connectors for each bladder resist deformation of the bladders to resist movement of the anchor bladder while filling.Type: GrantFiled: January 10, 2023Date of Patent: March 18, 2025Assignee: Hotwire Development, LLCInventors: Jeffrey S.
