Abstract: A piercing nozzle configured to pierce a material containing package and for dispensing the material contained in the package utilizing a dispensing device. The piercing nozzle includes a nozzle sidewall, a nozzle end wall defining an internal nozzle cavity configured to receive an end of the package, a male portion extending from the end wall, and multiple piercing projections extend into the nozzle cavity. The piercing projections are configured to pierce the package when compressed thereagainst, allowing the material in the package to be dispensed through a nozzle opening. The male portion includes a first section extending from the end wall, and a thread section narrower than the first section. The piercing nozzle can be attachable to a dispensing end of the dispensing device, and a moveable plunger is configured to compress the package against the piercing nozzle.

Abstract: A liquid coating composition of matter for application to wooden barrels or casks used in distilling, the composition of matter includes a polymer vulcanized with a silane crosslinking agent that is oxime-functional, acetoxy-functional, or alkoxy-functional, an OH-terminated polysiloxane that exhibits moisture curing, condensation reactions when in the presence of water vapors and silane crosslinkers, a low to medium molecular weight polysiloxane that exhibits low-permeance after curing via moisture-cure, condensation reaction, a transition metal catalyst that provides a reaction crosslink density that allows for minimal transport of ethanol vapors and water vapors after curing, a second transition metal catalyst that provides a reaction crosslink density with minimal impact on the rate of oxygen gas transport rate after curing, and inorganic polymers with a siloxane backbone that exhibits no leaching, migration or notable reaction with a liquid alcohol and water mixture upon curing.

The system includes a piercing nozzle attachable to a dispensing end of the dispensing device, and a plunger attachable to a plunger rod of the dispensing device configured to compress the package against the piercing nozzle. One or more recessed members extend into the internal nozzle cavity in part from a recessed member. An internal nozzle rib can extend across a nozzle opening defined through the nozzle end wall.

Abstract: A wide temperature water borne sealant that can be applied at low temperatures. The sealant can be a latex sealant composition including at least one latex polymer, at least one freeze thaw stabilizer, and at least one peptone or at least one additive derived from a peptone. The latex polymer can be an acrylic latex polymer with a Glass Transition Temperature (Tg) of 0° C. or less. The peptone can be enzymatic hydrolysate. The sealant can remain pliable at low temperatures making it ideal for applications that require flexibility at low temperatures its' rheology and viscosity are such that it can be applied at temperatures below 0° C. The low Tg latex assures that the sealant will remain permanently flexible and non-tacky when cured, and the peptone provides the sealant with the means to prevent the water from freezing down to approximately ?20° C.

A trigger is utilized to control the motor and to operate the lock block.
