Patents Assigned to Devine Lighting
  • Patent number: 5251118
Abstract: A modular lighting system includes a line of lighting fixtures with various body, lens, lamping system and mounting system alternative configurations, types and sizes. Many of the lighting system components are interchangeable among the different lighting fixtures. Others of the lighting fixture components can be fabricated by providing a blank with a certain configuration, (e.g., a hemispherical body) and separating it into one or more components forming portions thereof. A method of forming such modular lighting fixtures includes the steps of providing such interchangeable components and providing other components which can be formed from common blanks, mounting such fixtures with various mounting fixtures and lamping such fixtures with various electrical lamping systems.

  • Patent number: 4545007
Abstract: A luminaire includes a lenticular lens. Each lentical comprises a convex lens having a highly polished aspheric curved surface. The aspheric surface is divided into a plurality of coaxial zones, each designed to accept a specific quantity of parallel light flux from a parabolic reflector positioned within the luminaire and then refract that quantity of flux into a specific solid angle of the projected beam. The convergence of light rays by each lens element produces a real image of the light source in front of the lenticular lens. Each lentical produces a separate image and all images were substantially identical.

  • Patent number: 4271621
Abstract: A conversion kit or assembly for standard exit sign constructions is provided which allows quick and easy changeover of the sign (which is normally illuminated only by standard 120 volt building current) to a design wherein a secondary source of illumination and electrical power is provided for emergency use. The conversion kit includes a replacement support housing having a battery and printed circuit board therein, along with secondary bulbs designed for quick attachment within the sign lens unit, and wiring means for connecting the primary and secondary illuminators to respective power sources. The secondary bulbs are wired to light only upon a failure of normal power, so as to ensure operation of the exit sign. A test switch is also provided for periodically testing the secondary illumination system.

  • Patent number: 4222093
Abstract: An improved, quick connect and detach light fixture assembly is provided which allows easy pivotal attachment and release of a light fixture for ease of fixture installation or replacement. The assembly includes cooperating back and fixture-supporting plates with the latter being pivotally and detachably connected to the wall or ceiling mounted back plate. The pivotal connection between the plates is preferably accomplished by a pin secured to the back plate and a corresponding pin-receiving slot or eye provided with the shiftable fixture-supporting plate. The fixture is maintained in its operative position by means of a screw releasably interconnecting the plates.
