Abstract: A distributed file system for secure multi-party computing access to a plurality of distributed files is presented. For instance, the distributed file system includes a cloud-based data store, at least one tracking system, a distributed ledger, and first and second enterprise access systems. The cloud-based data store is configured to store the plurality of distributed files and regulate secure multi-party computing access to the plurality of distributed files. The at least one tracking system is configured to track transactions related to the plurality of distributed files, the transactions including at least read transactions and write transactions. The distributed ledger comprises at least one block chain and is configured to validate the transactions related to the plurality of distributed files. The first enterprise access system comprises a first local data store and has access to the cloud-based data store, the at least one tracking system and the distributed ledger.
