Abstract: In order to specify a method for the regulation of a wind park (1) comprised of a multiplicity of wind energy installations (WT1, . . . , WT9), wherein the wind park (1) is connected to an electric utility grid (12) into which the electric power generated by the wind park (1) is fed, and the wind park (1) includes a control input (13) by means of which nominal controlled variables (15, 16) of the wind park (1) can be set, which can be adapted to highly different wind park topologies using the least possible adaptation expenditures, which permits the addition or removal of wind energy installations to or from the wind park with minimal adaptation expenditures, which is utilizable without a measurement of the park network data at the grid transfer point and which, moreover, allows the integration of wind energy installations by different manufacturers into a wind park, it is proposed that each wind energy installation (WT1, . . .
Abstract: In order to improve a decentralized control and data recording unit (2) (SCADA unit) for installation in decentralized energy resources (DER), in particular, wind turbine units, and/or for decentralized use at the site of a decentralized energy resource (DER), in particular a wind turbine unit, wherein this control and data recording unit comprises a control unit, in particular a turbine control unit (11), for controlling the decentralized energy resources (DER), in particular wind turbines, a database (10) for storing operating data and/or operating parameters, and also a network communications interface (13) for exchanging data and/or control commands with external units (1, 14, 15, 29) via an external network (7), so that this control and data recording unit can be better integrated into the business processes of stakeholders and have the capability of flexibly adapting to different systems, changing customer wishes, and also changing hardware, it is proposed that said unit have a SCADA operating system ke
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for configuring and/or operating a wind turbine to adaptively control a voltage of a power grid. In one or more embodiments, a method and system for recognizing a condition of a power grid (e.g., fluctuations caused by variable consumer loads on a weak grid), and adaptively adjusting a voltage control scheme to “ignore” voltage changes caused by the condition are provided. Additionally, other features of the present invention includes a voltage control with active power derating for wind turbines and power factor control with active power derating for wind turbines. The active power derating features of the present invention may be dependent upon physical characteristics of a synchronous generator associated with the wind turbine.
