Abstract: Disclosed herein is a magnetic recording medium comprising:a stretched polyethylene-2,6-naphthalate multilayered film having a high-roughness surface and a low-roughness surface;a coating layer (A) having specific surface properties and being formed on the high-roughness surface of said multilayered film;a coating layer (B) having a specific surface property and being formed on the low-roughness surface of said multilayered film; anda thin ferromagnetic metal film formed on said coating layer (B).

Abstract: A laminated polyester film for a magnetic recording medium having at least three layers, in which each of a top layer and a bottom layer of the at least three layers contains inorganic particles having a Moh's hardness of at least 8 and an average particle size of 0.005 to 0.5 .mu.m in an amount of 0.25 to 5% by weight based on the weight of the polyester of the respective layer and, in total, not larger than 0.20% by weight based on the whole weight of the polyesters of all the layers including an intermediate layer, and exposed surfaces of the top and bottom layers have coefficients of friction and surface roughness which satisfy the specific conditions.

Abstract: A thermal transfer sheet having a base film, a heat resistant layer which is formed on one surface of the base film by coating a composition which contains (A) a compound having at least two (meth)acryloyl groups and (B) at least one polymer selected from the group consisting of a syrene-alkyl (meth)acrylate copolymer and an .alpha.-methylstyrene-alkyl (meth)acrylate copolymer and cured with an activation energy ray, and heat transfer coloring material layer on the other surface of the base film, which sheet has maintains good runnability and prevents deposition of a thermal head tailings.

Abstract: A polyester film having uniform surface and excellent running property and transparency is disclosed. Said polyester film is characterized by containing 0.01-5 wt. % of porous precipitated silica particles which are coagulates of primary particles having an average particle diameter of 0.01-0.1 .mu.m and have a pore volume of 0.05-0.5 ml/g, a specific surface area of 30-150 m.sup.2 /g and an average particle diameter of 0.1-0.5 .mu.m.
