  • Patent number: 4348953
Abstract: A continuous stencil assembly comprising a continuous strip of stencil material on a continuous carrier strip, the assembly having lines of perforations dividing it into individual stencil assemblies each comprising a stencil sheet on a carrier sheet, the continuous assembly being adapted to be torn into the individual assemblies after typing thereon, each individual assembly being adapted to be clamped to an imprinting device such as a handprinter and having a line of weakness in the carrier sheet for tearing it off, and a method of manufacturing the continuous assembly.

  • Patent number: 4040350
Abstract: A rotary printer comprising a wheel having a generally cylindrical surface, and a pair of relatively thin cylindrical ring members slidably positioned side-by-side on the wheel for carrying a series of type members. A clamping member is provided on the wheel for clamping the ring members with the type members therebetween against an abutment on the wheel thereby locking the ring members to the wheel and the type members to the ring members.

  • Patent number: 4030592
Abstract: Apparatus for cutting a stencil comprising a frame, a type disk having a circular series of raised type characters on one face thereof, the disk being rotatably mounted on the frame so as to bring a selected character to a stencil cutting station, a carriage for holding the stencil to be cut, and a mechanism for moving the carriage and stencil carried thereby. This mechanism comprises an axially movable plunger, a rack segment on the plunger, a pinion gear engageable by the rack segment as the plunger is moved axially, and a drive from the pinion to the carriage including a one-way clutch for indexing the carriage laterally with respect to the printing station a predetermined increment corresponding to the desired spacing between typed characters of the stencil to be cut.
