Abstract: A microfiche reader is disclosed herein and includes a projection screen and an optical arrnagement adapted to cooperate with a microfiche for providing an enlarged image of the latter on the screen. The reader also includes an assembly for supporting the microfiche for planar movement within the confines of a given area. This support assembly utilizes a carriage for containing the microfiche and, in one embodiment, the carriage is itself supported by a particular diagonal array of bearings whereas, in another embodiment, it is supported by an array of living hinges.
