Abstract: The specification discloses apparatus which constitutes a portable bath-tub which is vertically adjustable to facilitate patient handling and transfer, bathing, draining after use, and cleaning. The apparatus includes a tub mounted within a frame, a platform upon which the patient can be placed in a supine posture, means for lowering the platform into the tub and raising it again, means for raising and lowering the frame and therefor the tub from a lower preset height to a greater height and wheel means on said frame to permit transfer from place to place.
