Abstract: This invention relates to a device for mechanically setting a plurality of small precious stones in a jewel setting having a flat face, which device comprises an upwardly open dish element fixed on a horizontal table, a cover which fits with a very small clearance in the dish element and is centered therein, tools for driving in and setting the stones which are fixed beneath the cover and a jewel setting support which is fixed in the bottom of the dish element.

Abstract: The present device relates to the mechanized manufacture of jewelery comprising a plurality of small contiguous stones set in a metal support. The device comprises: in machining in a precious metal support, a plurality of contiguous housings, each one comprising a seating; in machining in each seating one groove and optionally another, both of which define an annular support, deformable in bending and bearing a narrow annular seating on which a stone rests; in placing one stone in each housing and applying pressure over the upper faces all the stones in order to sink them in their housing by deforming the seating, after what the claws are set. The device finds an application in the mechanized production of jewelery comprising pavings of small stones.

Abstract: Process for the mechanized production of jewelry comprising a plurality of small contiguous precious stones set in a metal support consisting in machining in said support, bores that are aligned, and in machining on the periphery of said bores, truncated studs of which the walls converge upwardly and the diameter of the circle inscribed inside the top parts of the studs is greater than the diameter of the largest stones, whereas the diameter of the circle inscribed inside the bases of the studs is smaller than the diameter of the largest stones.

Abstract: Process for manufacturing jewelry comprising the steps of mounting a metallic mounting on a movable table of a machine-tool, machining in the mounting a plurality of contiguous cylindrico-conical bores comprising a conical seating, machining in the outer periphery of each conical seating a triangular groove, machining the metallic mounting with a rotating tool for removing a part of the metal bridges between said contiguous bores and leaving a few islets of metal which constitute claws, placing a little stone in each bore, pushing down the upper faces of the stones with a push-member until the lower face of said push-member is applied against the upper faces of all the stones and pressing a setting tool over the claws to set the stones.

Abstract: This invention relates to processes for making jewelry comprising one or more rows of precious stones set in a support made of precious metal. One or more rows of cylindrical housings extended by a conical seating and a counter-bore are machined in the support; the metal bridges separating, the housings are cut out with a rotating mill; a stone is placed in each housing and is set by means of a tool which is applied on the islets of metal remaining between the housings.
