  • Patent number: 10849284
Abstract: A stump grinder is configured to mount to a portable machine that operably supports the stump grinder during a stump grinding procedure. The stump grinder includes a cutting wheel that is rotatably driven during the stump grinding procedure. The cutting wheel has a cutting surface to grind the stump by moving the rotating cutting wheel across the stump. A wheel stabilizing assembly is disposed between the portable machine and the drive system for supporting the drive system and cutting wheel. The cutting wheel is held in a generally vertical orientation and movement of the cutting wheel is biased relative to the portable machine. Accordingly, forces applied against the cutting surface of the cutting wheel during the grinding procedure are limited by the biased movement.

  • Patent number: 10820500
Abstract: A mower deck dual wedge system uses a dual wedge configuration to funnel vine like material for cutting to prevent interference with a spindle shaft. The system includes a mower deck having an upper wall and a peripheral. A spindle shaft extends through the upper wall. Each of a pair of wedges is coupled to and extends from the upper wall of the mower deck. Each of the wedges has a pair of lateral sides extending from a tip. The wedges are positioned on opposite sides of the spindle shaft such that the tip of each the wedge faces away from the spindle shaft. A cutting disc is coupled to the spindle shaft and the wedges are positioned between the cutting disc and the upper wall of the mower deck. The cutting disc is rotated by the spindle shaft.

  • Patent number: 10612209
Abstract: A variable connection size excavator mast device provides attachment for varied mast sizes and geometries eliminating need for a unique design for each excavator and deck type. The device includes a base plate and a pair of mast plates. The pair of mast plates is coupled to and extends upwardly from the mast plate. The mast plates are perpendicular to the base plate and parallel to each other. A fixed pin is coupled to and extends between the mast plates. A sliding pin is adjustably coupled to and extends between the mast plates. The sliding pin is parallel to the fixed pin.

  • Patent number: 10393181
Abstract: An industrial mower sealed roller bearing system provides a roller bearing to avoid repeated and frequent repacking. The system includes an industrial mower having a roller mount and a ground roller. The ground roller bearing includes an insert body having a first end, a closed second end, and a channel extending into the first end towards the second end. An outer section of a shaft extends from the insert body and is couplable to the roller mount. A face seal is provided at the first end of the insert body to define a sealed interior chamber. The face seal is positioned relative to the insert body and the shaft such that the insert body is rotatable relative to the shaft. Each of a plurality of interior bearings is positioned within the sealed interior chamber of the insert body such that the insert body is rotatable relative to the shaft.

  • Publication number: 20190059215
Abstract: A cutter retention assembly includes a mowing deck coupled to a mower. A spindle, rotated by the mower, extends from the mower downwardly relative to a top wall of the mowing deck. A spindle housing extends from the mowing deck around the spindle with a coupling portion of the spindle extending from the spindle housing. A lip extends radially outward from the spindle outside of the spindle housing. A retainer is coupled to the spindle housing around the spindle defining a collar. The collar is positioned adjacent to and aligns with the lip such that the lip will be retained within the mowing deck by the collar upon catastrophic failure of the spindle. A cutter is coupled to the spindle, exposed in the mowing deck, and rotates with the spindle. The cutter is thus retained adjacent to the mowing deck upon the catastrophic failure of the spindle.
