Abstract: A sealing ring obturates a propellant charge cartridge of an automatic firearm for caseless ammunition, in particular against an end face of a firearm element, in particular for a breech or a projectile cartridge. The sealing ring contains a sealing surface that can be brought into contact with the end face. The sealing surface contains a first region around an annular opening of the sealing ring and a second region around the first region. The second region is set back relative to a tangential surface to the first region. In addition, a propellant charge cartridge for an automatic firearm for caseless ammunition, has at least one of the sealing rings. The propellant charge cartridge preferably contains one or multiple, in particular two, propellant charge chambers, which are provided with a sealing ring on each of the breech side and the projectile cartridge side.

Abstract: An optical system for a missile has optics for imaging an object through a beam path on an imaging plane. The optics have external optics, rotatably mounted about a roll axis and a pitch axis of the missile, and internal optics, and one of the ends of the beam paths is fixed with respect to the structure in the missile. In order to prevent image disturbances caused by shadows which are caused at a high squint angle by an element which is fixed to the structure, the optical system includes a shutter, which can be introduced into the beam path during flight of the missile, in order to mask out a shadow, which is produced by an element of the missile, in the beam path in a viewing direction of the external optics which is tilted with respect to the roll axis.

Abstract: An antenna configuration for emitting high-energy microwave pulses has a first flat electrode and a second flat electrode, the first electrode and the second electrode being able to be connected to a generator for producing an excitation pulse. The antenna configuration further has a multiplicity of radiation elements which connect the first electrode and the second electrode to one another, and semiconductor diodes which are provided in the region of the radiation elements and turn on as of a particular breakdown voltage and thus make it possible for the antenna to emit a pulsed overall pulse.

Abstract: An optical device for guiding radiation from an object scene to a detector contains an alignment device for pivoting a field of view of the detector relative to a predetermined direction, a detector optical unit and an optical articulation for guiding the beam path from the pivoted field of view into the detector optical unit. In order to achieve a compact configuration of the device, the optical articulation has a reversing prism, in which beams running in the optical axis of the articulation are refracted towards a mirror surface of the reversing prism and are reflected by the reflection surface.

Abstract: An optical device forms a beam path between an optical end element at a beam path end and an object scene into which the beam path is directed via a field of view of the end element. The optical device contains an alignment device for pivoting the field of view relative to a predetermined direction, an end optical unit and an optical articulation for guiding the beam path from the pivoted field of view into the end optical unit. In order to achieve good shielding against spurious radiation, the device has a shielding unit containing a shielding element led partly around the optical articulation, which shielding unit shields the optical articulation against incident radiation that is not incident through the entrance or exit aperture of the optical articulation.

Abstract: A flying bomb includes a standardized bomb casing formed of steel and having a nose opening and a tail opening. A thin penetrator is disposed in the bomb casing in order to achieve high effectiveness with little collateral damage when the flying bomb strikes a target. A distance between the tip of the penetrator and the nose opening is greater than 100 mm.

Abstract: A hand grenade fuze has a firing cap, a delay charge, which can be fired by the firing cap, in a delay charge holder, a detonator, which can be fired by the delay charge, in a detonator holder, and a booster charge, which can be fired by the detonator, for firing a hand grenade explosive charge.

Abstract: It is proposed that, on the assumption that the surrounding area forms a known topography, a representation is produced from a form of the topography, the camera position relative to the topography and the image in the form of a virtual representation of the view from an observation point which is at a distance from the camera position. This makes it possible to select an advantageous perspective of objects which are imaged in the image, thus making it possible for an operator to easily identify the position of the objects relative to the camera.

Abstract: An electronic assembly has a plurality of functional units each including a board element populated with electronic modules, which board element has in each case a number of contact locations arranged in at least one row, and a contact board, which has for each board element at least one row of contact receptacles that are directly electrically connected to the contact locations of the associated board element. These rows point toward a side of the contact board in their longitudinal direction. A plurality of similar assemblies are produced compactly and cost-effectively by providing a communication unit separate from the contact board and serving for communication with modules of the board elements. The communication unit is connected to the contact board via a plurality of data lines which are contact-connected to the contact board on the side to which the rows point.

The board elements are connected to one another in terms of signaling via a contact board. An assembly having a high degree of communication flexibility in conjunction with favorable production costs can be provided if it contains a communication unit connected to the contact board directly by data lines. The communication unit is populated with electronic components in such a way that it serves as a communication interface for modules of the board elements.

Abstract: In order to make it possible to reduce stereographic disturbances without image processing methods, it is proposed that pixels in the images each be associated with a distance from a distance model. The distance is an assumed distance from an object, which is imaged at that pixel, to at least one predetermined point, the distance model associates the distance in dependence on the position of the pixels in the recorded image. The image fusion is carried out using the associated distances.

Abstract: High-voltage switch, in particular for a microwave generator, which includes a spark gap which breaks down in order to switch when a high voltage is applied provided is a plurality of parallel-connected spark gaps (12, 12a, 12b), each having at least one electrode (13, 13a, 13b) with a series-connected fuse (14, 14a, 14b) which is irreversibly destroyed when the respective spark gap (12, 12a, 12b) breaks down.

Abstract: A missile includes an outer casing and an outer coating applied thereto in the form of an ablation layer which contains a matrix material intended to at least partially decompose during a flight. Hollow glass bodies are embedded in the matrix material in order to keep the missile reliably operational even after flying at a speed above 1000 m/s. A matrix material and a method for producing a missile are also provided.

Abstract: A weapon barrel of an automatic firearm is subject to bending oscillations during firing. A damping device is provided for damping the bending oscillations and to at least largely dissipate the kinetic energy of the bending oscillations by friction processes which are initiated by the bending oscillations, between two respective successive shots in the firing sequence.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method of using a neutral ionic liquid to at least one of stabilize a peroxidic explosive and to produce a stable solution of the peroxidic explosive which includes providing the neutral ionic liquid and using the neutral ionic liquid to at least one of stabilize the peroxidic explosive and to produce the stable solution of the peroxidic explosive. The present invention further provides a stable composition which includes a solution of at least one neutral ionic liquid and a detectable amount of a peroxidic explosive, a method of production thereof, and a method of use thereof as an odor sample.

Abstract: A propellant charge body for insertion into a propellant charge chamber in a firearm for firing caseless ammunition has a base body which contains a propellant charge. The diameter of the base body is less than the internal diameter of the propellant charge chamber. Radial projections are formed in one or more subareas on the circumference of the base body and match the radius of the base body in these subareas to the internal radius of the propellant charge chamber.

Abstract: A submunition is formulated for destroying a target in a target area. Accommodated in a casing are a signal processing unit connected to a radar antenna and/or an infrared sensor and/or another target-detecting sensor. The submunition further has target recognition software and a charge provided with a covering. To increase the versatility of use and to simultaneously improve detection and decision certainty and reliability, the target recognition software has a software interface for the transfer of at least one parameter specific to the target area.

Abstract: A method and a configuration are provided for generating high-energy microwave pulses, in particular based on HPEM technology. The objects include, on the one hand. increasing the energy density of pulses and, on the other hand, also making the relevant appliances more compact. For that purpose, a large-area configuration of a multiplicity of, preferably non-linear, semiconductor components is used in the area of the antenna, for pulse shaping.

Abstract: A propellant for guns includes at least one energy carrier, nitrocellulose and cellulose acetate butyrate. At least part of the nitrocellulose is alcohol-soluble nitrocellulose. The nitrocellulose serves as a binder and for that purpose is present in a concentration of at least 15% by weight in the propellant. A process for producing a propellant is also provided.

Abstract: A microwave generator includes a resonator which has two mutually opposite resonator electrodes formed with a spark gap device that breaks down when an ignition voltage is applied. In order to provide the microwave generator with increased power, in which the resonator can be operated at relatively high ignition voltages or field strengths, the spark gap device has at least two spark gaps connected in series.
