A differential pressure piston is arranged so as to be axially movably in the weapon housing coaxially relative to the weapon barrel, with the piston incorporating propellant infeed passageways as well as a loading piston which is in communication with filling passageways. In the cylindrical shaft of the differential pressure piston, there is concentrically arranged a charging piston which is movably axially relative thereto, where the free end is in communication with infeed passageways, and the differential pressure piston and the charging piston are provided with control rolls which, respectively, roll along as associated control cam track on a drum controller.

    Abstract: A projectile with an ejecting charge for the expulsion of a payload. A receiving member for the ejecting charge is mounted within the projectile, which receiving member withstands the development of the pressure encountered during the combusting of the ejecting charge; wherein that the receiving member possesses a multiplicity of apertures through which there discharges the propellent gas which is developed during the combustion of the ejecting charge, and wherein the ejecting charge is inserted into a thin-walled cup contained in the receiving member.

Arranged in the slider is a hydraulic or penumatic cylinder-piston retarding device and a spring-biased self-destruct pin which is operatively coupled to the device, which has a self-destruct detonator associated therewith, wherein the retarding device is blocked until the slider is generally located in the armed position thereof, and in which the retarding device, in the armed position of the slider, will brake the movement of the self-destruct pin during a self-destruct time period and thereafter will cause the releast of the latter.

    Abstract: A safe-and-arm or securing device for the fuze of a spinning or spin-stabilized projectile which includes a fuze member and a supporting member in which a spherical rotor is rotatably supported and which has a radial groove formed therein. The rotor possesses a bore having a detonator inserted therein, and in a peripheral region incorporates a grooves which extends along a plane which is axially offset relative to the radial groove, and with a spreadably or expandable restraining medium being inserted into the groove. The restraining medium releases the rotor which is retained in its secured position only subsequent to the firing of the projectile through the securing element which is spreadable and axially displaceable under the effect of axial and spin forces and which allows the rotor, after its release, to be pivoted in conjunction with the detonator into the armed position.

The combustion chamber which connects to the weapon barrel widens conically at a relatively flat angle, and in which the head of the differential pressure piston (injector), which is provided with overflow passageways and nozzles, has its external contour correlated with the cone of the combustion chamber. Hereby, the conically-shaped outer wall or shell surface of the injector can incorporate annular recesses, grooves or the like.
