  • Patent number: 8002527
Abstract: A screw-type compressor having a motor driven and dry operating compressor unit. A butterfly valve is disposed in an intake line connected to the suction side of the compressor unit. An adjustment cylinder mechanically shifts the butterfly valve. A pressure line is connected to the pressure side of the compressor unit and, via the interposition of a check valve, is connected to a compressed air system. The pressure line is connected to a pneumatically controlled air relief valve via an air relief line for relief of pressure during idling of the compressor unit. At least during idling, the air relief valve is adapted to be acted upon by the pressure that is effective on the pressure side of the compressor unit.

  • Patent number: 7757594
Abstract: A longitudinal cutting machine having an upper blade held and displaceable on a first longitudinal guide, and a lower blade that is associated with the upper blade, the lower blade being held on and displaceable along a second longitudinal guide. A displacement device is associated with one of the lower blade or upper blade, and is provided with an extendable driving rod that bridges a gap to that longitudinal guide that holds the other of the upper blade and lower blade. The driving rod acts on the other blade such that the displacement device displaces the upper blade and lower blade together. A guide mechanism is disposed on the driving rod and acts on that longitudinal guide that holds the other of the upper blade and lower blade.

The adjustment mechanism for the movement of the circular blade between a cutting position and a ready position, is provided with an adjustment piston rod having an adjustment piston that is guided in a chamber of the blade head housing and can is adapted to be moved by compressed air. The adjustment piston rod is biased by a compression spring into the ready position of the circular blade. The piston surface of the adjustment piston has a cross-sectional area that is configured such that as the path of the adjustment piston in the direction of adjustment increases, the piston surface that is acted upon by compressed air increases.

  • Patent number: 6877412
Abstract: A blade holder for cutting machines has a blade head secured at a lowering device and a blade head housing having a chamber. The blade head has a blade holding member for receiving a circular blade. An advancing device is mounted in the blade head housing. The advancing device has an advancing piston rod and an advancing piston actuating the advancing piston rod. The advancing piston rod acts on the blade holding member for moving the circular blade between a cutting position and a ready position. The advancing piston is pneumatically actuated and mounted and guided in the chamber. A pressure spring acts on the advancing piston rod to prestress the advancing piston rod into the ready position of the circular blade. A pressing device loads the pressure spring in a direction of the cutting position of the circular blade. The pressing device is decoupled from the advancing piston rod.

  • Patent number: 6327950
Abstract: A longitudinal cutting machine having a plurality of blade holders disposed on at least one traverse that extends over the length of the longitudinal cutting machine is provided. So that the blade holders can each be removed independently of one another from the traverse, the individual blade holders are releasably mounted by two spaced-apart claws on associated profiled members that are mounted on the traverse. One of the claws is movable relative to the blade holder and can be fixed in position by means of an adjusting unit. When the adjusting unit is loosened, then by pivoting of the blade holder about one of the two claws, which pivoting is made possible by a deflecting movement of the movable claw, the other claw is released from the associated profiled member and the blade holder is removable from the traverse.

  • Patent number: 5546840
Abstract: A slitting device has a cutting blade arrangement comprised of a plurality of cutting blade holders each supporting an individual cutting blade. A lifting device is connected to the cutting blade arrangement for lowering the cutting blades against a counter blade for performing a cutting operation and retracting the cutting blades away from the counter blade into a rest position. Each cutting blade holder comprises an indicating device for showing in the rest position a cutting position of the cutting edge relative to the counter blade which cutting position the cutting edge will assume when lowered against the counter blade.

  • Patent number: 5237900
Abstract: A straight-line cutting machine is comprised of a transverse holding device and at least one cutting magazine consisting of a plurality of knife holders. The cutting magazine is connected to the transverse holding device, whereby the knife holders are spaced at a fixed distance relative to one another. Each knife holder is provided with an individually controllable drive so that each of the pressing knives may be raised and lowered individually. By providing cutting magazines with pressing knives that are spaced from one another at a fixed distance, it is possible to adjust the cutting width in a simple manner and with greater accuracy.

  • Patent number: 4516602
Abstract: In the valve-plate of a disc-valve, frictionless guides are arranged in a balanced configuration from web center to web center, each guide situated above and between the edges of an adjacent seat-plate ring segment, so that the valve-plate is balanced against shaking movement during operation and the guides experience a balanced, and small, mechanical stress. In practice, the seat-plate and the catch-plate are pre-stressed elastically and convexly toward one another, so that the net deformation of the seat-plate during closure operation is reduced.
