Patents Assigned to Diessel GmbH & Co.
  • Patent number: 4814722
Abstract: An amplifier for timed electrical measured signals loaded by a relatively high spurious DC voltage and fed to an analog-digital converter allows accurate measurement values using analog-digital converters of comparatively low resolution. The invention provides a signal superposed to consecutive and mutually opposite measured signals loaded with the spurious voltage that was obtained from the particular preceding signal relative to which it is inverted.

  • Patent number: 4803887
Abstract: The object of the invention is to so design a flow-meter system for milk-collecting vehicles, that a pump, a pulse-controlled sampling device, an air separator and a flow-meter with pulse generator and display are in series in the operational direction, where a computer is provided in the display for analysis, in that independently of the particular quantity delivered, Automatically always the same amount of sample shall be withdrawn, whereby an adepquate amount of sample shall be available for analysis even for small quantities delivered, and where addiional containers are not needed for large quantities delivered, and where overrunning is avoided.

  • Patent number: 4774187
Abstract: The invention concerns an apparatus for growing cell cultures wherein the cultures are located in at least one liquid nutrient medium and the nutrient medium or media are introduced through at least one pump-driven feed line, and where a gas (oxygen, nitrogen, air or the like) is introduced into the head room above the liquid level of the closed container, the gas pressure being kept constant in the head room, this apparatus being designed in such a manner as to prevent effectively injury to the free cells perforce ejected when evacuating the nutrient media. To that end the invention provides an overflow line communicating with the liquid in the container and terminating outside this container, its free end being located so much above the liquid level in the container that the pressure generated by the liquid column in the overflow line balances the gas pressure in the container head room.

  • Patent number: 4228192
Abstract: The ingredients of beer and/or wort, particularly alcohol, extract, wort and carbon dioxide are determined individually by passing infrared light through the beer where a wavelength between 2.9 and 3.1 microns is used for the alcohol ingredient, a wavelength between 9.6 and 9.8 microns is used for the extract or the flavorings, and a wavelength from 4.2 to 4.4 microns is used for the carbon dioxide ingredient, each absorption of infrared being measured and analyzed.

  • Patent number: 4022066
Abstract: Apparatus for removing liquid samples, especially milk samples, from a flow facility wherein a feed pump, an electromagnetically actuated and normally closed metering valve physically located at a higher level than said feed pump, an air eliminator and a volume meter are sequentially arrayed downstream. The metering valve (7) is connected to flow line (6) by a short connecting pipe (15) sealed by closing element (11), the drain tube (8) of this valve leads to a sample container located above closing element (11) and defined by channel (14) traversed by valve shaft (13), which leaves annular gap (29) between the outer surface of the valve shaft (13) and the wall of channel (14) and which is large enough as to just suffice in cross-section to pass the amount of liquid sample to be removed.

  • Patent number: 3995486
Abstract: An improvement in the apparatus for flow metering liquids, especially milk, when the liquids are delivered from tank trucks to stationary tanks having a first centrifugal pump, an air eliminator and a volume meter sequentially arranged in that order downstream of the tank truck. The improvement involves locating a second centrifugal pump downstream of the air eliminator which acts as a quantity control pump.

  • Patent number: 3961570
Abstract: An improvement in the method and apparatus for obtaining the specific fat content of milk wherein whole milk and skimmed milk are mixed together as they flow, and the amount of skimmed milk is added according to the previously determined fat content of the whole milk, the fluid quantities of the whole milk and skimmed milk being continuously measured. The method and apparatus are improved by continuously taking samples of the whole milk and continuously determining their fat content, and in between taking the samples and the admixture of the skimmed milk while the whole milk is retained in its supply line for the period of time between the taking and/or evaluation of the particular sample and the controlling of the skimmed milk admixture.

  • Patent number: 3961527
Abstract: A flow measurement system wherein liquid to be measured is conducted through a volumeter having a pulse generator, the pulses of the volumeter are applied to an electronic counter, the output values of the counter are stored on a magnetic tape and the stored values are processed in a data processing system.

  • Patent number: 3939710
Abstract: An improved arrangement in a liquid flow meter which contains at least one cylindrical measuring means rotating in a measuring chamber with the measuring means sliding with its one end face against a bottom part of the measuring chamber in which a stable, bell-shaped stiffening element rests against the edge of the bottom part and is arched thereover on the side facing away from the measuring chamber with a rigid connecting member attached to the bottom part and the stiffening element at least in the central region of the bottom part. Preferably support ribs with an external shape corresponding to the inner contours of the bell-shaped stiffening element are connected firmly with the bell-shaped stiffening element.
