  • Publication number: 20150313549
Abstract: A heart rate monitoring method and device to analyze signals in time or frequency domain with motion noise signal reduction comprises at least two LEDs for providing two different light signals for incidenting into a portion of a human, a photodetector for detecting two reflected and scattered signals reflected and scattered form the human, and a processor for eliminating motion noise signal cause by any motion of the human. The processor may compare the two reflected and scattered signals and execute an independent component analysis to obtain a correct heart rate signal in time domain, and then the processor can calculate the correct heart rate. The processor may transform the two reflected and scattered signals form time domain to frequency domain and compare the two reflected and scattered signals in frequency domain to obtain a heart rate signal in frequency domain, and then the processor can calculate the heart rate.

  • Publication number: 20140266739
Abstract: A health monitoring and warning system includes a cloud computing unit, a vehicle scheduling unit and a vehicle with a warning unit. An operator of the vehicle wears a healthcare monitoring device for measuring the physical condition thereof. The cloud computing unit monitors the physical condition of the operator and judges the physical condition is normal or not based on the data measured by the health monitoring chip. When the cloud computing unit judges the physical condition is abnormal, it transmits a warning signal to the vehicle scheduling unit and transmits a start signal to activate the warning unit, thereby warning the operator, passengers and people adjacent to the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 8382367
Abstract: A probe for an ear thermometer has a mounting bracket, a light module, a temperature sensor and a probe tube. The light module and temperature sensor is mounted on the mounting bracket. The light module is capable of radiating different colored lights to respectively indicate normal or abnormal body temperature. The probe tube covers the light module and temperature sensor and is light-pervious. Because the probe of the ear thermometer indicates the body temperature by different colored lights and/or numerals, using the ear thermometer with the probe is easy, simple and instinctive when compared to conventional thermometers that use LCD display to show numerical values.

  • Patent number: 8386003
Abstract: A portable medical device has a medical measuring apparatus and an elastic mounting portion. The medical measuring apparatus has a body. The body has a mounting mechanism. The elastic mounting portion is arched, adapted to be mounted around a subject's wrist or arm and has two edges and an attaching mechanism. The two edges are opposite to each other and define a gap for placement of the subject's wrist or arm. The attaching mechanism detachably engages the mounting mechanism of the body of the medical measuring apparatus. Thus the portable medical device is convenient for daily use and for carrying on a subject by simply mounting around the subject's wrist or arm by the elastic mounting portion.
