  • Patent number: 11979736
Abstract: A computer system for facilitating voice communication within a mixed-reality environment identifies a first location of a first user within a mixed-reality environment. The first user is associated with a first electronic communication device, which is capable of facilitating voice communication between one or more users within the mixed-reality environment. The computer system identifies a second location of a second user within the mixed-reality environment. The second user is associated with a second electronic communication device, which is capable of facilitating voice communication between one or more users within the mixed-reality environment. The computer system determines a vocal distance attribute between the first user and the second user and determines, based upon the vocal distance attribute, a communication state for the first electronic communication device and the second electronic communication device.

  • Patent number: 11967017
Abstract: A computing system, having stored thereon a design software, is configured to generate a design file representing a three-dimensional space that embodies a design. The computing system is further configured to render a three-dimensional view of the three-dimensional space in a graphical user interface. In response to receiving a user input of placing a three-dimensional object in the three-dimensional space, the computing system then renders the three-dimensional object in the three-dimensional view of the three-dimensional space in the graphical user interface as a silhouette.

  • Patent number: 11935183
Abstract: A method for incorporating a real object at varying depths within a rendered three-dimensional architectural design space can include capturing data from a real environment, wherein the real environment comprises at least one real object within a physical architectural space. The method can also comprise extracting the at least one real object from the captured data from the real environment. Further, the method can include providing a rendered three-dimensional architectural design space comprising at least one virtual architectural component. The method can also include projecting the captured data from the real environment on a first plane within the rendered three-dimensional architectural design space and projecting the extracted at least one real object on a at least one additional plane within the rendered three-dimensional architectural design space, such that the rendered at least one real object is properly occluded within the rendered three-dimensional architectural design space.

  • Patent number: 11550178
Abstract: Embodiments include modular wall systems, smart glass controllers and methods for operating such. In one scenario, a modular wall system is provided which includes a frame with a horizontal stringer. The modular wall system also includes first connectors positioned on the horizontal stringer, and a decorative smart glass pane which includes second connectors configured to attach to the first connectors on the horizontal stringer. The second connectors and the first connectors physically attach the decorative smart glass pane to the modular wall system. A power connector is also included. The power connector is configured to receive a direct current (DC) input voltage from a power source. A power inverter converts the DC input voltage to an alternating current (AC) voltage of less than a threshold maximum number of volts. Furthermore, a smart glass surface is included, which is in communication with an output of the inverter.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems, components, and methods for leveling millwork. In one or more implementations, a millwork leveling device and/or kit for leveling millwork include a track, a first leveling post, and a second leveling post. The leveling posts are movably positionable along the track. The first leveling post has a first adjustable height and the second leveling post has a second adjustable height. The device and/or kit may further include a plate associated with the first leveling post, the plate having one or more through holes and attaching a finishing piece thereto.

  • Publication number: 20170124224
Abstract: A computer system can incorporate a timber framework within a variable spatial framework by receiving input to divide the variable spatial framework into one or more independent spaces within the variable spatial framework. Upon receiving input to divide the variable spatial framework, the system can create at least a first independent space and a second independent space based upon the received input. Creating the first independent space and the second independent space can also include associating with at least the first independent space a first independently executable software object. Additionally, the method can include automatically incorporating a digital representation of a first timber framework into the first independent space. The first independently executable software object can determine the characteristics of the first timber framework.

  • Publication number: 20150325035
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus allow for the real-time rendering of specular effects within a three-dimensional model. At least one implementation allows a user to create a map that comprises a representation of at least one light source within a three-dimensional model. Furthermore, at least one implementation casts a viewpoint ray to an object surface point, wherein the viewpoint ray comprises a ray extending from a user perspective within the three-dimensional model. Additionally, at least one implementation casts a reflection ray of the viewpoint ray. Further, at least one implementation identifies an intersection point between the reflection ray and the map. Still further, at least one implementation calculates the specular reflection of the object surface point based on the intersection point.

  • Publication number: 20140310873
Abstract: A modular wall includes a plurality of inter-connectable and interchangeable wall modules. At least one of the wall modules includes a recessed, extendable piece of furniture, such as a bed, desk, table, work surface or chair. When in a closed configuration, the furniture folds into or otherwise resides within a recessed pocket in the modular wall. When in the closed configuration, the outer surface of the furniture forms an exterior surface of the wall module; thereby, concealing the furniture seamlessly into the modular wall. The exterior surface can comprise one or more exterior interchangeable tiles.
