  • Patent number: 10452082
Abstract: A fluid dispenser and method of operating the same. The fluid dispenser can include a wheel driven by diluent passing along a flow path in the fluid dispenser. The wheel can be connected to a pump to pump fluid from a reservoir for dispense into the diluent. In some embodiments, the ratio of wheel rotations to pump cycles is selected to provide a desired and repeatable dilution ratio of concentrated fluid to diluent. The fluid dispenser can be portable and/or disposable, and in some embodiments is adapted for installation on an upper rim of a reservoir wall. Also, the fluid dispenser can be provided with a baffle limiting the velocity and impact of incoming diluent to the wheel driving the pump, thereby improving dosing accuracy of the dispenser in some embodiments.

  • Patent number: 10369243
Abstract: Provided is a method and an apparatus for indicating minimum exposure of a surface to UVC light emitted by a source during a decontamination process to achieve a desired level of pathogen reduction. The apparatus includes a photochromic material to be applied to, or applied adjacent to the surface. The photochromic material is to exhibit a visible response to receiving the minimum exposure to the UVC light, and exhibit the visible response to a lesser extent after the photochromic material ceases to be exposed to the UVC light emitted by the source. A protective layer of material that is substantially transparent to the UVC light emitted by the source is positioned over the photochromic material to be disposed between the source and the photochromic material during the decontamination process.

  • Patent number: 10197182
Abstract: A cable guide for improving performance and longevity of a dispenser actuator for remotely operating a dispensing unit with a flexible cable connected between a valve of the dispensing unit and the actuator. The cable opens or closes the valve by manipulating the actuator adjacent the discharge end of the tube. The guide is positioned within the actuator in physical contact with the cable. The guide may comprise a thin arched body extending upward from a leading edge to a peak and downward to a trailing edge. The cable can slide over the guide as the actuator operates the valve. The guide prevents the cable from bending with a small bend radius, e.g., smaller than five or ten or even twenty times a diameter of the cable as the actuator operates the valve.
