    Abstract: A valve core removal tool can include a shaft having a proximal end and a distal end. A valve core gripper can be coupled to the distal end of the shaft and can include a first valve core engaging surface and an opposing second valve core engaging surface spaced therefrom. The first and second valve core engaging surfaces can be flexible and movable relative to each other between a first position, where the free ends of the first and second valve core engaging surfaces are spaced apart a first distance, and a second position, where the free ends of the first and second valve core engaging surfaces are spaced apart a second distance that is greater than the first distance. The first and second valve core engaging surfaces can be spring-biased in the first position for gripping a valve core between the first and second valve core engaging surfaces.

    Abstract: A universal line components duct elbow (universal elbow) accommodates a variety of condensate tanks. The universal elbow includes an elbow base, an elbow cover, and an interface clip. The interface clip is releasably connected to the bottom wall and sidewalls of the elbow base and adapted for supporting a condensate tank within the universal elbow. In order to releasably connect the interface clip to the bottom wall of the elbow base, the bottom wall of the elbow base includes an elbow base/clip securing structure that engages a complementary clip/elbow base securing structure on one side of the interface clip. In order to secure the condensate tank within the universal elbow, the interface clip has a clip/tank securing structure on the opposite side that engages the structure of the condensate tank.

    Abstract: An HVAC line set duct system includes a line set duct with a channel clip. The duct houses an HVAC line set and includes a channel connector for slidably securing the channel clips along the length of the line set duct. The channel clips have collars that engage tie wraps that in turn secure the HVAC line set to the line set duct. The channel clips are installed onto the line set channel connector by exerting a force perpendicular to the length of the line set duct so that the channel clips snap onto the channel connector and slide along the channel connector.

The housing defines a vent structure passing therethrough that allows water to pass into the housing. The affixing device clamps a pan engagement side surface to a sidewall of a secondary condensate pan. The surface placement mechanism places one of the pan engagement side surfaces opposite from the affixing device. The float, disposed within the housing, has a first position when no water has entered the housing and a second position when a predetermined level of water has entered the housing. The actuator causes an event when the float is in the second position.

    Abstract: A liquid level detection device includes a signal source for generating one or more unique signals on low impedance signal electrodes, a lock-in amplifier, and a reference signal directly connecting the signal source to the lock-in amplifier. The unique signals generated by the signal source are connected to one or more low impedance signal electrodes. The low impedance signal electrodes may be positioned at different levels inside the tank so that at any given level of liquid in the tank, each low impedance individual electrode may or may not be in contact with the liquid in the tank. Alternatively, the low impedance signal electrodes may be attached to the external wall of the tank at different levels. An antenna is connected to an input of the lock-in amplifier. The antenna may be placed inside the tank at the lowest level for the liquid, or the antenna may be attached to the outside wall of the tank near the bottom of the tank.

The floatless pump's microcontroller detects the water level in the reservoir and, based on the water level in the reservoir, controls the operation of the pump motor, and if necessary, sounds an alarm and shuts down the HVAC system. The floatless pump microcontroller may employ an ultrasonic transducer or capacitance sensors to detect the level of condensate water in the reservoir. The microcontroller implements a variable water lift feature to pump the water using the lowest possible speed for the pump. The microcontroller implements a self-cleaning feature to pump stagnant water out of the reservoir and to pulse water in the drain line and the agitation of the water in the reservoir.
