    Abstract: A coupling device for metal tubular members subjected to pressure where abutting coupling members define a V shaped groove. A metal annular V shaped sealing member constructed from resilient metal is disposed in the V shaped groove and arranged so that the sealing member has sealing edge portions which can expand longitudinally and radially to maintain a seal if the coupling members tend to separate or contract in response to pressure.
