Abstract: Pumped drainage apparatus (10) for a shower, comprises a waste water unit (12) having a waste water inlet (14) for accepting waste water runoff from a shower, and a waste water outlet (16) in fluid communication with the waste water inlet (14); a pump (20) in fluid communication with the waste water unit (12); a sensing circuit including one or more sensors (36) for sensing waste water; and a control circuit for controlling and varying a flow rate of the pump (20) based on an output of the sensing circuit. Preferably, the or each sensor is isolated to prevent in use contact with waste water. A variable flow control device (34) is also provided.
Abstract: An orthopedic device having a support structure provided with at least an orifice for a fixing screw associated with a nut; the head of the screw to be pressed on one side of the support, and the nut adapted to be pressed on the other side of the support, in a housing enabling its being integrated at least partly, so as to enable the support structure to be clamped between the screw head and the nut when the screw body has been completely screwed in the receiving bone material. The implantable device includes elements for maintaining the nut in its housing opposite the orifice, and elements for locking the nut in rotation. The contours of the housing and of the nut are dimensioned to provide at least one degree of freedom to the nut in the housing enabling self-centering of the screw and nut.
Abstract: A waste water outlet unit, for a shower tray having a drain opening, comprises a base element which is locatable on the underside of the shower tray to cover the drain opening, and a clamp element which is locatable on the topside of the shower tray and which is engageable with the base element to clamp the base element to the underside of the shower tray. The clamp element has an aperture through which waste water from the shower tray can pass into the base element, and a filter element which is positionable over the aperture and which can be removed to enable access to the interior of the unit while maintaining the engagement between the base and clamp elements.
Abstract: A shower tray has a trough along one or more sides of the tray and means for clamping flexible floor covering material and/or a flexible edge of a ramp device in the trough(s). The clamping means may comprise one or more elongate clamping elements and means for fixing the clamping element(s) in the trough(s).
