  • Patent number: 11791655
Abstract: An electric power control system and methods are described herein in which a determined effective impedance between a first sensor and a second sensor is determined and instructions to an adjusting device based on the determined effective impedance are provided. In one example a controller is configured to determine at least one component of the supplied electric power at the plurality of sensors based on a determined effective impedance. In another example, a controller is configured to determine at least one estimated component of the supplied electric power based on the determined effective impedance. • Patent number: 11755049
Abstract: A method, apparatus, system and computer program is provided for controlling an electric power system, including implementation of a voltage control and conservation (VCC) system used to optimally control the independent voltage and capacitor banks using a linear optimization methodology to minimize the losses in the EEDCS and the EUS. An energy validation process system (EVP) is provided which is used to document the savings of the VCC and an EPP is used to optimize improvements to the EEDCS for continuously improving the energy losses in the EEDS. The EVP system measures the improvement in the EEDS a result of operating the VCC system in the “ON” state determining the level of energy conservation achieved by the VCC system. In addition the VCC system monitors pattern recognition events and compares them to the report-by-exception data to detect HVL events.

  • Patent number: 11448495
Abstract: A wire gauge measuring device comprises a main body, an arm extending from the main body such that a gap is defined between the arm and the main body, a plurality of switches, and indicator means. The gap has a plurality of differently sized gap portions arranged in decreasing size from a distal end to a proximal of the arm. Each switch is aligned with a corresponding one of the gap portions. The indicator means is adapted to provide an indication to a user based on which of the plurality of switches is depressed. The gap portion sizes are selected such that each gap portion is adapted to (1) receive a corresponding differently sized electrical wire, (2) prevent the corresponding differently sized electrical wire from moving into a smaller sized gap portion, and (3) position the differently sized electrical wire to depress the corresponding switch.

  • Patent number: 10144121
Abstract: An apparatus and method is provided for holding fasteners (such as lag screws) while being driven into a work piece. The holder holds the fastener away from a worker's hand so that it may be driven into the work piece without the hand being close to the driving action of the driving tool (such as a hammer). The holder then releases the screw to be completely driven into the work piece. While the fastener is being set, the holder holds one or more other fasteners in reserve.
