Abstract: Disclosed herein is a cable coupler for the connection of an armored cable having an armor layer. The cable coupler of the present invention includes a sleeve, which has an inclined surface, which is brought into contact with the armor layer of the armored cable, and a fastening ring and a support ring, each of which has a small width. Each of the fastening ring and the support ring includes inclined surfaces, which are formed by reducing the thickness thereof from a medial portion thereof to opposite ends. The inner inclined surfaces of the fastening ring and the support ring have inclination angles similar to that of the inclined surface of the sleeve. In addition, the armor layer can be firmly held by the cable coupler despite the use of a relatively small force, thus enhancing labor efficiency. As well, armor layers having various thicknesses can be held by the cable coupler merely by changing the positions of the fastening ring and the support ring, thus increasing the usefulness of the cable coupler.

The inner inclined surfaces of the fastening ring and the support ring have inclination angles similar to that of the inclined surface of the sleeve. The diameter of the inclined surface of the fastening ring is relatively large, and the diameter of the inclined surface of the support ring is relatively small, so that a preliminary connection of the armored cable can be achieved using small force. In the preliminary connection process, the connected state of the armored cable can be confirmed.
Abstract: A cable tie cutting method and a cable tie cutter Includes pressing a trigger lever backwards such that a cable tie traction means draws the cable tie backwards until tightened; pressing the trigger lever backwards, rotating a clutch means into engagement with a cutting means operable in conjunction with the clutch means, and a base block is rotated; a cable tie cutting step of moving the cutting means backwards by the clutch means and operating a cutting blade, and cutting the end of the cable tie; and a returning step such that the clutch means is released from engagement, thus causing the cable tie traction means to be operated in conjunction with the clutch means.
Abstract: A cable tie comprises a band-shaped strap which has a fixed end, formed in the shape of a hook, and a free end, a locking head which is secured to the fixed end of the strap and through which the free end of the strap passes, and a locking ball which is disposed in the locking head so as to be movable forward and rearward, wherein the width between upper and lower portions of the fixed end of the strap is established to be slightly greater than the thickness of the bottom wall of the locking head, a release prevention tongue is cut in the upper portion of the fixed end of the strap and is integrated with the strap, a distal end of the release prevention tongue is bent downward, and the locking ball is guided in a rearward locking direction and is elastically supported upward.
