Abstract: The invention describes a system of controlled communication providing a method of identifying and meeting unknown persons. The method includes the steps of: providing a personal display means for wearing by a first person; providing a distinctive identifying element on the personal display means allowing a second person to identify the distinctive identifying element; providing a database for receiving details from a plurality of people related to a plurality of the identified distinctive identifying elements; allowing the second person to enter details of the identified distinctive identifying element to retrieve the details of first person; receiving details from the second person; automatically providing details to the first person of the identification by the second person and details of the second person allowing review of the second person by the first person and selective contact by the first person to the second person.
