Abstract: A device for coffee preparation, the device comprising a head module and a base module. The head module comprising; a first end and a second end with a bore extending therebetween, an elongate element extending across the bore proximal the first end of the head module. The base module comprising; a first end and a second end and a bore extending from the first end at least proximal the second end. The head module mounted above the base module; and wherein the elongate element comprises at least one flat surface facing in the direction of the first end of the head module.
