Abstract: A system for moving a refrigeration device is disclosed and includes a frame for supporting the refrigeration device. At least one pair of stationary casters are removably coupled to the frame. At least one pair of adjustable casters are removably coupled to the frame and are adjustable relative to the frame within a range between an extended position and a retracted position. A positioner provided on at least one of the frame and the adjustable casters establishes a position for the adjustable casters relative to the frame within the range, so that the stationary casters and the adjustable casters are capable of providing a desired degree of stability during movement of the refrigeration device and the stationary casters and the adjustable casters are removable following movement of the refrigeration device.

Abstract: A temperature controlled case defines a space for storage of products and includes a cooling system to circulate a fluid to maintain a temperature of the products in the space. A deck is provided within the space and has a stepped configuration to provide multiple product support surfaces configured to support the products. At least one cooling element is coupled to the deck and receives a coolant from the cooling system so that the product support surfaces provide contact cooling to the products.

Abstract: A defrost system for a temperature controlled storage unit includes an enclosure providing a space for storage of products. A refrigeration system has a supply line and a return line coupled to a cooling element to circulate a refrigerant through the cooling element to provide cooling to the space. A control module initiates a plurality of defrost modes on a predetermined frequency and for a predetermined duration by reducing a flow rate of the refrigerant through the cooling element so that a superheat temperature of the refrigerant in the cooling coil is increased to a predetermined range.

Abstract: A refrigerated worksurface for processing food products includes a base and at least one cooling element supported on the base. A preparation surface is positioned on the base atop the cooling element and is configured to be cooled by the cooling element. A cooling system is configured to circulate a coolant through the cooling element so that a temperature of the preparation surface is maintained within a predetermined range. The cooling element may be one or more cooling element pans or may be a passage beneath the preparation surface for flow of fluid through the passage and in contact with an underside of the preparation surface.
