    Abstract: A fiber treatment composition is disclosed. The composition contains siloxanes having amine-, polyol-, functionalities. The composition provides good hand, resistance to yellowing, and hydrophilicity to the fibers. The composition is preferably formulated as an aqueous emulsion. Applying the composition to textile fabrics produces treated fabrics having good hydrophilicity, good hand, and resistance to yellowing.

Methods of preparing the silacyclobutene compounds, silane polymers containing at least one silacyclobutene unit, and siloxane polymers containing at least one silacyclobutene unit.

    Abstract: A catalyst composition for use in the preparation of an organopolysiloxane comprises a .gamma.-butyrolactone carrier and a phosphonitrile catalyst. Preferred phosphonitrile catalysts comprise Cl.sub.3 PNPCl.sub.2 NPCl.sub.3.PCl.sub.6, (Cl.sub.3 P.dbd.N--(PCl.sub.2 .dbd.N).sub.d --PCl.sub.3).sup.+ (SbCl.sub.6).sup.- wherein d is 1 to 4, and compounds of the formula Y(PX.sub.2 .dbd.N).sub.a PX.sub.2 O) wherein X is chlorine, hydroxyl or an organosilicon radical bonded to phosphorous via oxygen, and a is 1 to 5. Also disclosed is a method for producing an organopolysiloxane by polymerisation reaction in the presence of a said catalyst composition, and use of .gamma.-butyrolactone as a carrier for a phosphonitrile catalyst in the preparation of an organopolysiloxane.

    Abstract: A method for preparing an aminoalkoxysiloxane comprises reacting a siloxane having at least one Si--X bond with an aminoalcohol of the general formula HO--R--NR.sup.1.sub.2 and removing HX from the reaction mixture, wherein X is a hydrogen atom, an --OH group or an --OC(O)NR.sup.1.sub.2 group, R is a divalent substituted or unsubstituted alkylene or arylene group, and R.sup.1 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having from one to eighteen carbon atoms. The siloxane and aminoalcohol are preferably HO(Me.sub.2 SiO).sub.4.5 H and ethanolamine, (Me.sub.3 SiO).sub.2 MeSiH and ethanolamine, isopropanolamine or 3-aminopropan-1-ol, or Me.sub.3 SiO(Me.sub.2 SiO).sub.3 (MeHSiO).sub.5 SiMe.sub.3 and isopropanolamine respectively. The aminoalkoxysiloxanes thus prepared are useful for treating textile fabrics.

Preferably, the first silane is methyltrimethoxysilane and the second silane is N-(2-aminoethyl)-3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane. Also disclosed is a method for preparing said gypsum mixture.

The cementitious material displays good hydrophobicity, which may improve upon subsequent wettings of the applied cementitious material to a substrate.

    Abstract: A method of de-hazing distillate fuel is disclosed which comprises adding to the fuel a solution of a halide salt dissolved in an alcohol, and an alcohol soluble organosiloxane. Each group Z may be a group selected from the polyoxyalkylene group R'(OCH.sub.2 CH.sub.2).sub.p (OCH.sub.2 CH.CH.sub.3).sub.
