  • Patent number: 11202605
Abstract: A device provides a first data signal that indicates an activity of at least one muscle of a patient that is relevant for an inspiratory breathing effort and a second data signal that indicates an activity of at least one muscle of the patient that is relevant for an expiratory breathing effort. The data signals are generated from electromyography (EMG) signals detected by surface electromyography sensors. A computer is configured to determine breathing phase information on the basis of a breathing signal and to check at least one of the electromyography signals or at least one of the separated signals for detectability of a heart signal component and further to assign the signals to an inspiratory breathing activity as well as to an expiratory breathing activity of the patient as a function of the breathing phase information.

  • Patent number: 11170624
Abstract: A system includes a medical device, a patient sensor, an output unit and a signal processing unit that receives measured values from patient sensors and generates signals by analyzing received measured values. The signal processing unit decides whether an alarm criterion, relating to the generated signal, is met and detects an alarm and an alarm time and actuates the output unit. The actuated output unit displays an overall alarm sequence (16) in an overall time period (T) and an alarm reference sequence in a reference section (26) time window (T1) temporally positioned relative to the overall alarm sequence. At least one of a signal curve display (10) and an alarm reference sequence (18) are displayed as a portion of the overall time period. Time scales for the signal curve display and the alarm reference sequence are finer than time scales for the overall alarm sequence and the alarm reference section.

  • Patent number: 11154216
Abstract: A device (1) for determining the concentration of a gas component is configured with a radiation source (30) for radiating (31) light as a light emission in an infrared wavelength range. Two detector arrays (52, 62) with two detector elements (50, 60) are configured suitably for detecting the light emission generated by the radiation source (30) in two detector arrays (52, 62). Two filter elements (51, 61) are associated with the detector elements (50, 60). The two detector elements (50, 60) are oriented in relation to the radiation source, so that a range of overlap (65) is obtained due to the two detector arrays (52, 62). The range of overlap (65) causes attenuations in the propagation of light, which may be due to gas molecules or moisture (400). The attenuations in the propagation of light affect both detector elements (50, 60) and are compensated concerning the determination of the concentration.

Abstract: A patient bed assembly unit as well as to a thermotherapy device for newborns includes a bed frame and a drawer. The bed frame has a drawer guide configured to make possible a drawer movement from a central pushed-in position in the bed frame along a first pull-out direction and in a second pull-out direction, which direction is opposite the first pull-out direction, into a pulled-out position of the drawer. A drawer-centering device acts on the drawer to move it into the central pushed-in position. The drawer can be removed from the guide. A drawer anti-tilt device is provided, which transmits a torque acting on the drawer directly to a bed frame and prevents the downward tilting of the drawer relative to the bed frame about an axis extending at right angles to the pull-out directions.
