    Abstract: A rotationally driven cutting tool for machining of workpieces, in which at least one cutting insert is fastened detachably in a pocket of a blade bearer so that it is clamped flatly against a base surface of the pocket. For adjustment of the blade there is a cutting insert and a fine adjustment device with which, with the aid of an adjusting screw arrangement, an adjusting element supported on a lateral wall of the cutting insert can be adjusted relative to the cutting insert. The adjusting screw arrangement comprises a threaded sleeve that is held, preferably with play, in a smooth through opening having a narrow point and comprises a screw part in functional engagement therewith that stands in a chain of pressure force with the adjusting element.

    Abstract: An adjustment device for adjusting the position of at least one cutter of a fine machining tool, particularly a reamer, with respect to a cutter support (ST) is described. To allow the cutter to be adjusted as precisely as possible, the cutter support (ST) borders at least one pressure chamber (DK) which is arranged in the adjustment direction of the cutter (S) with a displacement with respect to it and which is filled with a pressure means which can be placed under pressure using a pressure generation device. Between the cutter (S) and the pressure chamber (DK), a cutter support wall (W) remains which is elastically deformable upon application of pressure by the pressure transfer means to adjust the cutter position.

    Abstract: A clamping and adjustment apparatus for a cutting tool is described in which a plate-shaped cutter insert is prestressable and fastenable by means of a tension screw with its bottom surface against a seat surface such that it is supported with lateral wall sections in a positionally fixed manner on a cutter support. In order to allow precise adjustment of the cutter insert when little space is available, the clamping and adjustment apparatus has an adjustment wedge which can be actuated by means of a pressure screw in a direction (V) that extends essentially parallel to the seat surface. The adjustment wedge is accommodated in the cutter support in a form-fitted and displaceable manner. The cutter insert is supported on the adjustment wedge and can be adjusted by means of it. Moreover, a tool which is equipped with this clamping and adjustment apparatus is described as well as a tool cartridge which is used for it.

    Abstract: The invention concerns a wear-resistant coating on rotary metal-cutting tools such as drill bits, countersinks, milling cutters, screw taps, reamers, etc. The coating according to the invention consists essentially of nitrides of Cr, Ti and Al with a unusually high share of Cr atoms, namely 30 to 60% referred to the totality of metal atoms. In multilayer coatings and even more in coatings made of homogeneous mixed phases, this high Cr share results in particularly large tool life distances for the tools hardened with these coatings. These tools exhibit their superiority particularly during dry use without cooling lubricants or with minimal lubrication.

    Abstract: A circulating tool for cutting of workpieces including a carrier element that bears at least one cutter blade insert in an exactly positioned manner. A device is provided for adjusting the position of the insert relative to the carrier element and a clamping device is provided using a clamping claw, with which the insert can be fixed in the adjusted position relative to the carrier element in that the clamping claw presses the insert flat against a support surface. In order to be able to use indexable inserts of any form without providing weakening openings and to obtain the greatest possible measure of free space for configuring the tool and shaving removal with a space-saving configuration of the adjusting and clamping apparatus, the insert is accommodated in a pocket of the clamping claw and the support surface is directly constructed on the carrier element.
