Abstract: A profile straightening apparatus 5 for a profiling system which is used to produce a metal profile 4 by roll profiling along a longitudinal axis of the metal profile. The profile straightening apparatus is intended for correcting axial deviations of the metal profile from a prescribed profile geometry, and includes a frame 8 and having at least two interacting correction rollers 6, 7, which are mounted in the frame, receive the metal profile between them and, in relation to the longitudinal axis of the metal profile, are adjustable in two radial directions and also in at least one direction of rotation. The profile straightening apparatus is equipped with force measuring sensors for any forces Fy, Fz acting in the metal profile in one or both radial directions and for any torques Mx acting in the metal profile in a direction of rotation about the longitudinal axis.
Abstract: A method for joining edges and/or surfaces of a profile in a profiling installation for longitudinally forming a virtually endless material strip into an at least partially closed profile shape. The material strip or profile is formed roll forming tools into a profile which is closed or partially closed, and is fixed in a joining zone, with a longitudinally running joining seam being formed. The profile passes in the joining zone through a joining roller arrangement and/or planar joining arrangement to feed the profile to a joining point and to stabilize the profile there, and/or to ensure that it is dimensionally stable during and after joining. Forces or magnitudes of force components which act on the profile from at least one of the joining rollers and/or a subsection of the planar joining arrangement are detected in the joining zone. A planar joining arrangement and a profiling installation are also provided.

In addition, on or next to the machine substructure, there are linear guides with driven carriages that can move in and against a direction of motion of the metal band or profile for the holding of tools, manipulators, and the like acting on the profile.

Abstract: A method and a roll-forming system for producing a metal profile are provided, wherein the wall thickness of the metal profile varies along its longitudinal axis. For this purpose, a sheet-metal strip with a thickness that varies along its length is used. Before welding together the profile or tube, which is manufactured through shaping into a closed profile or tube, this piece is sized to a desired outer diameter and in this way any existing ripples in the strip edges are made level, so that a simple, conventional straight welding of the profile or tube is possible.
