    Abstract: An improved powder composition for preparing self-extinguishing coatings containing epoxy resin, fluidizing agent, hardening agent, catalyst, pigment and filler, characterized in that the composition does not contain any halogen component, and the filler is an inorganic filler containing at least one self-extinguishing agent, such as Al(OH).sub.3, which is capable of producing a non-toxic substance exhibiting a self-extinguishing function.
